New Title: The Flower Girl That Turned into a Duchess
Dear Abby,
I made a deal with Henry Higgins, author of Higgins's Universal Alphabet. I asked him if he could teach me how to be proper, to talk more genteel, and to be a duchess. So I can be a lady in a flower shop instead of selling flowers on the streets. So he gave me classes, and the day I finished my classes, I herd him talking to Mr.Pickering, and I over herd him say " Thank God it's all over!". How can he say that! See thats my problem, he calls me an ignorant little girl, he doesn't care for me, or cares of what will become of me, or care of where I will go and live. And since I am done with my classes, he is probably going to kick me out of his house. And I have no where to go, I am back where I started, in the gutter. I can't take it anymore, what should I do.
Sincerely,
Eliza
Dear Eliza: It looks like you are in a pretty big situation. But I think you should talk to Mr.Higgins and Mr.Pickering. Maybe you have may taken it the wrong way, a lot of people sometimes take things the wrong way. And maybe he does care for you, he just doesn't show it. And I don't think Mr.Higgins will kick you out of the house, with him knowing you have no where to go. You shouldn't worry about this, I'm sure everything will turn out good.

Assignment #3
Topics:
- My first topic for my group to discuss is about how Mrs.Higgins treats her son.
- My second topic is that if they think Liza has become a duchess.
Character:
- The character I would like to discuss would be Freddy, because it looks like he is interested in Liza. And it looks like he is going to show up on every meeting that Mrs.Higgins has with Liza.
Literary Element:
- For my literary element i choose, point of view 1st - 3rd person. In this section of the book, it is in third person. The reason I say it is in third person is because it is written in narrative form writing, and it uses word like he,she, and the character names. For example on page 55 the narrator says "He goes to the divan, stumbling into the fender and the fire-irons on his way...". This quote shows that it is written in third person.

Assignment #2
The First Passage I choose, is from page 27. "Well, I ain't....can go elsewhere." This passage is important because thats where The Flower Girl comes to Higgins house and offers him a deal. The deal is that she will pay him, to give her, Proper manners and, better English skills. And I think thats when Mr.Higgins is going to change his attitude, because of Liza. The reason I choose this passage is because, I think this is were the main story begins. I think that this is how Higgins and Liza get along and maybe fall in love with each other.
The Second Passage I choose, is from page 38. "Then might I........you do, sir." This passage is important because this is were Mrs.Pearce tells Mr.Higgins, that he shouldn't do the things that he usually does in the mornings when he comes down for breakfast. The reason she tells him this is because it could set a bad example to Liza, and she could think that what he does is proper manners. The reason I choose this passage is because it shows that Mrs.Pearce also cares about Liza learning her lessons. It also shows that even though she is mean to her, she wants whats best for her.

Assignment #1
The characters are The Mother, The Daughter, a Bystander, Freddy, The Sarcastic Bystander, The Flower Girl, The Gentleman ( Colonel Pickering ), and The Note Taker ( Henry Higgins). The setting is at the Portico St. Paul's Church, at 11:15pm. The reason they are there is for shelter, due to the heavy rain. There is really three conflicts going on. The first one is that the mother and daughter that were there wanted for Freddy to hurry up and get a taxi for them to leave. The second conflict is that The Note Taker, Henry was caught taking notes of what The Flower Girl was saying. And everyone thought that he was a coppers nark, or making a charge against The Flower girl, or a detective. But he wasn't doing or is any of that. The third conflict is that everyone wanted for the rain to stop so they can go home. One of my Predictions is that The Flower Girl is going to crash into Henry again and become close friends. My second prediction is that the Flower Girl is going to become rich.
